hello I am here to host an argument

topic: moving gif reactions

premise: most of the gif reactions make the image more difficult to read/process and don't add anything extra that couldn't be conveyed in a single still image

concession: some of them ARE cool and should be kept... but having too many of them kind of spoil the effect and uniqueness of gif reactions

evidence: doh doesn't loop well, and would look better static. "I declare" doesn't add anything. Seth Meyers doesn't add anything. I'm not sure what the one with Mr. Incredible is conveying -- is he bored? waiting? typing? I also miss the old "This is fine" dog.

related: the static Phoenix Wright reaction needs to be reworked. This one would actually make sense as a gif.

rebuttal: (this is the part where you guys tell me how wrong I am below)

Oh wait

Why not just use a single frame from the "I do declare" gif? Save it as a .png

I'll try to make whatever the popular decision is work. Just depends if I can find anything usable on google or if I have to literally cut out the background from a frame, etc. I'm trying to get some cleaning done before the holidays so I'm gonna chill on revising these for a few hours at least, but I'll rework it later.

I appreciate the effort to cut down on the movement. It doesn't give me motion sickness, but it is physically difficult to look at. Some of them are fine, like I don't mind the animated fire, but the ones that are very flashy are more painful.

The overall size of the panel is fine for me, but I do think some are redundant. I see "I declare" get used a lot, so maybe keep that one in some form.
