Mortal Kombat 11 is my favorite one.

Shang Tsung, Skarlet, Sonya Blade, Raiden, Sub-Zero, Noob Saibot, and Scorpion are my favorite fights in the game.
I got some odd sense of satisfaction with min-maxing every character using augments in the Towers of Time.

Shit, was even fun tinkering with AI.

MK was the better casual experience, plus it had the Fatalities and other finisher variations to mess with. My friend group all completely fell off of the series after UMK3, and my last "new" purchase was Trilogy on PS1. Bought the PS2 games (+ Shaolin Monks, which is/was fantastic) used years later, which were better than the trash that was MK4 that I just rented for a single weekend, but not what I wanted. Never found the time to mess with MK9~12 outside of looking at a Fatality or two.

To this day I haven't played a SF besides... uhh, some SF2 Turbo variation or another on the Genesis. Fun enough, I suppose, but the skill ceiling was too intimidating for us. That being said if I were to ever try getting into fighting games seriously, it would definitely either be SF or something from ArcSys.

I suck at fighting games, so I never really got into them enough to become a fan. I'd say MK is my favourite of the two, but Street Fighter was fun to play in the arcades...
