I'm going to try to get on and play for a bit shortly, but I've been stewing on what the best format for this really is.

I'm not digging having to just take screenshots then manually add them into posts as it breaks the flow while playing. I'm either left with a ton of screenshots to go through at the end of playing for a while, or I have to keep tabbing out to post some and progress is slow.

I played around with some of the API stuff I had from my own wolf bot tests, and managed to get a python script that will monitor my screenshot directory and just post anything new into a thread (this one) as an attachment. Won't stick it in the post itself or anything fancy, but it'd automatically ping anything png/mp4 I save into here.

I'd probably be left having to go back and delete some if they turn out dumb, but it'd be a lot easier to cap things as I went doing that.

I might work on it a bit more to have it ask me for a message with a prompt, once it detects a new file, and use that for the post body. Might not be so painful to just click out into that and type a comment, then continuing.

EDIT: That wasn't too hard. Now it'll at least not be "Uploading a new file." on everything.

Alright, so here's my plan... I can take my screenshots easily while playing and they'll just post to the thread individually with the comment I give it. If this results in a bunch of notifications, maybe there's a way to mute them from my bot account or something... Either way, once I'm done playing I'm going to go back through and embed all the images into the posts themselves, and I'll merge them down into one single update. That seems like it'll keep the screenshot continuity and (eventually) still keep the thread clean.
