What food would you serve? Would you go regional specific to where you are now? Maybe where you're from originally? Maybe a cultural dish for you?

For me, I'd go regional and one that I grew up with:

The New England Clambake. The traditional way of doing it is steaming it over seaweed so it gathers up all that delicious extra flavor. Don't like fish? Uh...I'll get you some South Shore Bar Pizza.

It was literally the first picture from Google. There would be a lot better coloring from seasoning (but not old bay) for a clambake I do.

Great questions. I am going to answer in a way that takes money/value, effort, and the rest into account - because the other answer is seafood.

I'm making pulled pork and pulled jackfruit as the basis, we're having buns/burgers/whatever you wanna call them. Just that and coleslaw in them.

Chicken lollipops, probably the spicy option. Depends on the group of course.

Maybe a couple of excellent sausages too for a few meaty nibbles. Again crowd orientated.

We are moving onto a ratatouille here. Easy side or alternate option.

Pineapple salsa.

I'm making small cut sweet potatoes, lots of them too. Maybe a couple of harshly cooked potatoes hiding in the mix, but similarly small.

Avo based salad - maybe something similar but something like this.

Corn of some sort.

Beer, bourbon, vodka, and rum too.
