I’ve sat between 175-185lbs at 6ft 1in since I was a teenager. I broke 200lbs in my teens over a 6mo span when I got into lifting for a little bit, but I lost interest in that nonsense quick.

The thing I've noticed is that you need to eat more in order to bulk up and gain muscle. But then you stop working out because you've passed the muscle head phase, but your body still demands all that food because it got used to eating a lot... so you get fat.

Note: The "you" is a general usage.

Yup, you’re 100% right, which is part of what led to me giving up on the idea. I was self-conscious about being so lean-looking as a teen, and just wanted to add a little bit of bulk, and even that was a chore with my metabolism and general activity level. It did not take long for me to just accept the fact that I’ll be built like a crackhead and enjoy the perks of it, because I had a lot of friends even struggling to match my weight or get their weight down, so the middle ain’t so bad.

I've had a bit of a hectic year with Crohns Disease so my weight is all over the show. My scales sync to my phone app so I can keep an eye on it. This time last year I was 185lbs, as of this morning I'm 190lbs. However, inbetween then and now I got as high as 218lbs.

I've been between 160 and 165. Used to be closer to 155 a year or two back thanks to having more activity at work. I don't mind it too much. Slowly getting the middle age dude pudgy belly.

~155

I spent 15 years at 135 though. I've had a slight weight increase over the last 4-5 years.
We must be the same person. I was around 135 or 140 for most of my life. In the last couple of years things have slowly crept up to about 155 at its peak. I started using My Fitness Pal and I'm down to around 150 now. The biggest thing for me is that I didn't know which food items were causing the weight gain, but now that I track it, it hasn't been too bad.

I also am a bit shorter than 6'1"
"Bit" is doing a lot of work here.

I fluctuate between 145 and 155 depending on how much I've been running vs other activities (running more gets me on the lower side). I always had difficulty putting on weight growing up due to the undiagnosed celiac keeping me from properly getting nutrients and such (also probably stunted my growth a bit, despite still being the tallest in my family). Once I got on the right diet I stopped being so skinny and actually got to a healthy weight.

This is pretty much where I'm at. I have the middle age belly right now and it's from a lot of years of snacks and sodas. I still snack but I gave up soda when Tears of the Kingdom came out in May. I currently weigh 155-160 lbs at 5'7", and have been somewhere between that number for the past few months. My highest ever was 165, my lowest in adulthood was 105-110 because of drug problems. (2017 - 2020). I'm fine with weighing more later in life - I had always disliked being "scrawny", but if I could trim down the belly a tad, my girlfriend would be very happy.

I'm 6', so the weight really doesn't show on me. I notice it when I wear a t-shirt myself, but doubt others would. Luckily my metabolism is still pretty decent so even with less physical stuff I shouldn't gain much weight. Hopefully. I have had some muscle and definitely some definition, but never got muscular or anything. Or super strong. Oh well.

Being a tad taller gave me a pass on being a stick for the longest time though. Can't hate that part.

@Jawneh @Tommy Boy even when i was at my absolute fittest (which was very fit until about the age of 20), as a 16 year old i was heavier than you guys are now, and i'm not six feet. aren't people interesting.

That’s a pretty good example of how it’s more about how you carry the weight versus the black and white number on the scale. No one ever believes that I weigh what I do, til I step on a scale. My little brother is two inches shorter than me, 30 years old, and weighs about 45lbs less than me. Side by side? You wouldn’t be able to figure out where I’m hiding that difference because two inches in height isn’t that substantial of a difference to account for the weight. On the same token, I’ve also seen people that look skinnier than me and weigh more because they have more muscle definition.
