I got a return that Vash was good - and first returned that result as part of my joke spreadsheet for in case I didn't get to say it before I die. I wanted to wait with that info for as long as possible to watch people make mistakes and get them like that.

Then Dean did his avenging part. I know Vash is good so I need to do my bit to help win the game. That's where we are at now.

I was making a play. I want to get some value out of my role. If I say don't protect me, I'm an avenger, likely. The wolves will spend time later on finding if that's true or let the town deal with me.

If I didn't feel obliged to reveal that Vash is good after Dean said he'd kill him, I'd still be saying don't protect me, pretending to be that sort of role. The wolves aren't bothering with shit like that to start.

I still say we stick to Dean so that there's no lingering effects of all of it on later days. No matter how you cut it at this point, it'll be worse for the town the later it goes and the more we think about it.
