So, recently FR posted a really detailed, excellent review of a game called A Hat in Time in the Retro review thread.

The problem is that the game isn't retro, so I was thinking we could start a GW review thread for non-retro games. Some analysis paralysis caused me to stall out a bit on making the thread, so I thought I'd share my thoughts and generate some discussion, and maybe help to solve the issues I was thinking about.

• What should constitute a review? Is "I like this game" good enough? Or should we only accept longer, more meaningful write-ups?
• What's the cut-off to not be considered a "retro" game?
• Can you share reviews you've written in here so I don't have to scour the entire board for them?
• Since the majority of discussion/blurb reviews here are posted as new games are released--often in self-contained threads for each new release, is this thread pointless?
• Further to the point above, should I just lump the A Hat in Time review in with the retro game review thread?
• Is there anything else you suggest for this?

Damn, I scored more than 3 Al's? That's better than I thought.

That's a much better idea for a thread though brb writing a 3-page review on the look, sound, and mouthfeel of shortkut

I've noticed a lot of people post short "reviews" in the "what are you playing" thread. That seems like a good spot for them.
