Space Ghost Voice Actor George Lowe Dies at 67
Space Ghost Voice Actor George Lowe has passed.

this is a niche celebrity death but it's one that's hitting me pretty hard, especially given that he's just a year or two younger than my dad is right now. he wasn't old.
losing C. Martin Croker in 2016, who voiced Zorak and Moltar and animated a lot of the show, was also tough, especially given that he was only 54. he was in pretty ill health near the end of his life, as was George Lowe. i know for a fact that Croker was struggling to make ends meet at the end of his life, and i feel like in a just society we would both still have these hilarious dudes. contemporary comedy owes so much to SGC2C, which was a trillion years ahead of its time. but because of the nature of the work they did, i don't think they ever got properly compensated for everything they contributed to society.
C. Martin Croker's work as Zorak and Moltar took the show a step above, but its sheer conceit never works out if George Lowe doesn't play it as straight and deadpan as he does. i hope they're cutting up in the big ghost planet in the sky.
