Extreme Warfare Revenge

I haven’t really watched wrestling for a while but every so often clips come across my twitter and I think “I remember him” or “I wonder what name that guy used to wrestle under”. It got me reminiscing about the incredible Extreme Warfare games. I only played Deluxe and Revenge but sunk days into both of them. Unbelievable that they were free. So much fun. Does anybody still play or has anybody tried any of the newer ones?

I was trying to figure out why this sounded so familiar and now I remember. I used the shit out of this.

There was also another one that felt dos based and had a paid version (never got it), I forget what that one is called.

We're talking like 20 years ago?
Yeah. We’re talking a long time ago. Extreme Warfare Deluxe was the one before and was more basic. He’s since released some more but didn’t have the licensing for the real wrestlers. I’m assuming that there are downloads where you can get the real ones though

AJ Styles, Colt Cabana, CM Punk, Low Ki, Christopher Daniels, Jack Evans, Teddy Hart, Amazing Red, Samoa Joe… every week those guys would be wrestling each other in some variety with 100 overness and chemistry and whatever else as I took TNA to the top. Fun to see that some of them really made it in WWE.

I redid a 1998 scenario and posted it on the Extreme Warfare Battleground forums, and the people who played it seemed to enjoy it. I took it from around 400 wrestlers to I think around 1100, IIRC. Took a long time though... over a year probably to build the scenario.

I enjoyed playing some of the classic scenarios, but the mods from 2002-2004 were a ton of fun because I was an Indy/TNA mark and would do the same as you @Andy and take down WWE.
