I have a sister who is two years younger than me, and she moved to Iowa when she was a teenager. I can count on one hand the number of times we've seen each other or talked since.

I feel like sometimes siblings are just not close and that's okay.

It's no problem. I have a half sister on my father's side that I haven't seen in 20 years. She's never wanted anything to do with me. Then I have a half sister on my step father's side who is always too busy to do anything with me. My half brother however is an evil, pious, sanctimonious, egotistical, narcissist asshole that I cannot stand. He's recently cut off the entire family when we all called him out on the abusive behavior that he was demonstrating towards most of us. He and I feuded for years before my parents caught on that he was a manipulative sociopath.

Do you wish you had a sibling you were close to? I moved around a lot, so it would've been nice for me.

I've washed my hands of him. He's just caused a ton of problems over the years. I hope he never comes back around.

I have a half-sister that's 18 years older than me, and a half-brother that's 13 years older with the same birthday. Pretty sure he blamed me for ruining his birthday that year and never forgave me.

Anyway, I was effectively an only child.

I don't talk to them anymore.

(side-fact: @Tommy Boy and I were born on the same day, too. And he looks like he's 13 years younger than all of us!)
