So, Gamestop had a copy of this game for 25 bucks (new) and I bought it.

I've never played a Diablo game before. I know it's a RPG dungeon crawler/hack'n'slash (why I bought it) with a lot of loot to find.

I checked reviews if the Switch version and it seems to be very positive, with no complaints about the graphics or slowdown, and I can play it offline, so I felt safe with the purchase.

Any thing I should expect from the console version of Diablo 3?

I played the shit out of it on PS4, the Eternal version turned out great.

I got platinum on it and played all the classes.

Long range is a bit compromised though.

D3 is some good fun. I would recommend the Paladin or the Necromancer. Both are power houses and should insure that you have a good first time play through. My only complaint about the game is that it gets pretty repetitive.

Finally got around to starting the game. I'm doing non-seasonal stuff because I want to experience the game as if the servers weren't online. Season 30 is probably the last one anyways.

I'm playing the Demon Hunter on Hard. I'm a little disappointed in the drop rate of weapons and I'm a little lost on how to use melee weapons with the Demon Hunter. My understanding is the the Demon Hunter is super flexible in short and long range combat, and the game lets me equip short range weapons with the DH. But so far, I've only been able to use bows and shields. I'm finding myself overwhelmed by groups and some enemies take a lot of damage to take down. The only reason I've been able to survive so far is because the Switch version comes with a Ring that gives me health every time I use an ability, allowing me to basically tank battles. I did recently unlock an explosive arrow that is great vs groups, but it still doesn't kill the stronger enemies quickly enough before I'm overwhelmed.

Am I missing something? Merchants only seem to have shit items that are overpriced and get outclassed by dropped items, just like DnD Heroes did. I only just got access to the Blacksmith, and right now, and so far, he's only been able to provide me moderately stronger items.

lol that doesn't get any better. I went as high as I could on the player difficulty. I think I was Torment 5+ on it and I still wasn't getting good drops. I even did Rifts and still nothing good. Just junk I didn't need.
