Backlog is huge but nothing I'm actively playing. Playing D&D on here has me curious.that said there is SO MUCH to that game that if your backlog's already chest deep you might wanna be careful.
Is there a good resource out there that I can use so I can plan ahead of time?Unless you spent 1-2 hours in the character creation screen lol. So maybe plan and figure all that out before booting the game.
Honestly, you could actually just use DnDB with only the base classes. And that's it! Pick the same lvl1 things and onward! One step above that I'd google what you think you want to do +BG3 in it. Too many sites were fishing views so I never found one good single site for info.Is there a good resource out there that I can use so I can plan ahead of time?
the C stands for Computer! primarily games like fallout 1 and 2 (though later fallouts not so much), planescape torment, shadowrun, vampire the masquerade bloodlines, neverwinter nights, and to a lesser extent dragon age origins. dialogue and story heavy, character stats and sheets, focus on player choice and exploration. if you’ve played any of those games i listed and liked them, you’ll really enjoy bg3What's a CRPG?
Would there be certain race/class combos that would be best for beginners or can I probably just do anything?I have... somewhere over 300 hours and I keep restarting for various reason. @TD when you can, buy this game.
that's a shame to hear! You're the only person I've seen act like that. In my older, child rearing age now, I keep a journal next to the play station to help remind me what i was doig and what i wanted to do.
oh i've just found out i'm the exact opposite of the eye in the sky, that's a shameI wish I had more interest in actually gaming in general. I love the chatter, I love the hype, the shows, the events, but when it comes down to playing games, I have trouble sticking with them. Even when I was younger I would often 85% finish games. I'd just quit on them near the end, not due to difficulty, just loss of interest. I used to enjoy slow burn games, now I just want to be entertained without too much thinking or strategy.
The idea of Baldur's Gate 3 is the game I should want to play more than anything, yet I can't stand to play it.
if you want to break the game in half do a strength-based monkWould there be certain race/class combos that would be best for beginners or can I probably just do anything?
I am using Astarion as a monk with 8 strength right now, I've not had him in my party really so far. This is my honour run.if you want to break the game in half do a strength-based monk
The party limit begone mod is fucking awesome. By far my favorite one. Finally made it to Act 3, enjoying the new area to explore
Some tough fucking fights too, even with extended party mod! Of course Im not as experienced with this type of game so Im sure I could do this with a party of 4 if I were more experienced, but I enjoy getting more story too

There's a lot of content for sure. It's just that... it's not paced well at all and... well, you'll see when you get to the parts that irked people off.I have heard nothing but bad things about act 3, but I love it so far, love exploring the City Baldur's Gate and doing the side quests
Act 3 is not "bad" it's just sort of overwhelming at times. I have played both Divinities and what I noticed is that Larian can have trouble "landing the plane." E.g. sometimes they spend so much effort into the first parts that the last part feels rushed. Well, I don't think that is the case here.
I am replaying the game in HM and I have been admiring how well paced Act 1 and Act 2 are, and their total "things to do" length. Been wondering if Act 3 actually should have been two acts.
I have also seen some online chatter that perhaps Act 2 and Act 3 should have been switched around. Obviously a lot of things would need to be changed narratively. Maybe mostly this is because the Act 2 villain is more compelling than the Act 3 villains.
You're not really supposed to engage with the enemies, you need to move through that battlefield and reach the portal. Globe of Invulnerability, gaseous form, greater invis, etc.
got haste? hang a left and take the railing, you should steam roll all the illithid up there. what i also did was have all my other characters summon all my allies to keep the crowd in the middle busy
then globe is what i use too
Like you didn’t do all the other quests available?I sadly screwed something up with summoning allies as I only have 2 available
Like you didn’t do all the other quests available?
Dame Aylin - you do get her to be around after what happens in Act 2, but did you go to the library and do everything in the tower?I thought I did a lot of them, like who was the person with the wings and their partner? in my camp, and I talked to them and thought I had done everything I needed for them, but I've seen videos of them being in the final battle.
I thought I would have had more than 2, must have been a lot more content that I missed that I didnt realize
Bold to assume the cats will give you the green light to play. =PCross-platform play might be enough for me to finally take the leap.
...although Wilds comes out in February.
Ugh.
