PC Baldur's Gate 3 Tips for new players?

It's great fun. I'm playing it heaps, and haven't finished.
What I would recommend is starting to play, pick some funky sort of character - not whatever you specifically want to be... Then, treat playing the game like a tutorial... And when you feel good about it, start again.
In the first run you do, you could aim to do choices you usually wouldn't want to do - to help keep it fresher when you start again.
This is basically what I did.
For specific tips... Slow down, focus, pay attention. I kept playing like any old video game where I'm basically invincible. I have died many times. Including on for honour runs, where a team wipe is gg.
Game is too fun to give too many tips but happy to give anything specific if you really want it.
