I'm actually playing in a tournament at my hometown course next Saturday. It's a 4-person-team scramble. Should be fun.

I used to go at least once a summer. It's been a while to be sure, but I don't actually own anything for it myself. My dad and one of my brothers have their own sets. Another brother has a single disc, it doesn't go nearly as well for him because, well, you need the different kinds for different ranges.

I’ve played a triples tournament (in the snow actually) a long time ago and it was tons of fun!

I too have too many discs.

I used to go at least once a summer. It's been a while to be sure, but I don't actually own anything for it myself. My dad and one of my brothers have their own sets. Another brother has a single disc, it doesn't go nearly as well for him because, well, you need the different kinds for different ranges.

You can get away with a single disc depending on what it is… but yeah most aren’t great on their own.

If you’re still in New England you’re spoiled with amazing courses.

I’ve played a triples tournament (in the snow actually) a long time ago and it was tons of fun!

That would have been quite an experience in the snow. I generally avoid playing in the cold, but a buddy and me played a casual round in the snow one time several years ago.

I haven't played a lot of tournaments, but I have done a couple the last few years. I did a mystery disc challenge last month where you get three mystery discs, and you have to use only those three for the round. It was fun except for it raining for most of the round. At one point early on it was pouring. Needless to say between that and three discs I had never thrown before, my score was not great. I lost the driver in the lake on the last hole. I didn't care for it anyway and might as well have tried to throw it in there on purpose at that point, but I probably would have missed.

That one was fun though — drove out to New Hampshire that morning in a light layer of snow. We played decent… and beers stayed cold!

No, but I did do a Trilogy Challenge earlier this year. This most recent one was an Infinite Discs mystery challenge, sponsored by the disc shop in my hometown. Infinite Discs is a website that sells every brand imaginable, so each disc in your pack could be from a different company.

I am familiar with infinite… they have a portion of my lifetime earnings. Didn’t know they did the challenges too though!

It went pretty well. They turned an 18 hole course into a 27 hole course (some holes have multiple baskets). With more holes making for more shorter holes and it being a four person scramble, there were a lot of low scores. My team shot -21, but the winners were something like -25 and had to go all the way to hole 8 in a playoff with another team.

I didn't hit the ace pot, but my friend on my team had one go all the way into the chains on his drive on hole 27 only to have it hit the pole and bounce straight back out.

They did a scattered ctp with a bunch of prizes at the end, but another guy beat me by about a foot to the prize my throw was closest to.

I had fun. Couldn't have asked for better weather and I actually made a few decent putts, so not too shabby all around.
