I can tell you there is a fool like acolyte that if we lynch them, the game ends immediately. I also reiterate that Kut is not an Acolyte and especially not the fool one.

Even the Acolytes don't want us to go after this person.

I essentially did the same just because there's a lot of reading, but yes. My role guarantees this other role exists.

I am not technically loyal to the village, but my win conditions neither hinder nor trump theirs, so I am not ever going to act against the towns best interest.

The town only publicly knows if you come back alive or hurt or dead. All the other information about your quest is given to you privately. And you get to do a little risk assessment after finding out what your enemy is and before making a choice.

I'm was inclined to believe you anyway just based on character. But it wouldn't hurt to know.

But you are right that the acolytes don't want us to lynch that person as then they'd lose as well... So I guess if we're about to do that at any point and a bunch of people start yelling "PUMPERNICKEL" then we'll change.

An ENORMOUS Snake slithers up. It looks like it could swallow an elephant, and FR is definitely no elephant.

FR pulls out his cross. "Repent, sinner! Hath you no shame for seducing Eve with your giant snake wiener into eating from God's forbidden apple?"

The snake rolls its eyes and darts forward quicker than a blink, swallowing him. From his belly, the muffled voice of FR could be heard: "are you a heretic??! You must follow me to the Church jail so that I might question you!"

Fool's Requiem has died. His body has been destroy, so he can neither revive nor be reanimated as a Wight. He was the Inquisitor.

Exactly, that's my point.

I was thinking that shortkut was the Inquisitor who'd jailed Fool's, and told him "Hi I'm shortkut, your Inquisitor for the evening" or something indisputable.

If it was just shortkut being detained and telling FR "I'm a good guy", well that doesn't really prove anything at all.

But we do have Jon's corroboration, and unless he's bullshitting about being the Vampire Hunter D, that would have confirmed shortkut 100%.
