Ben still hasn't actually claimed Detective. Alu said he was but Ben has still never actually confirmed his exact role.
Yeah, he did. He asked if detectives can kill in day 3.

Nah, that actually makes a lot of sense. I was detective one game, got a result of two people not matching the first night, and announced it immediately. We ended up lynching the fool and losing the game.

I and Alu were doused, but seems like Tommy was trying to go one more night before his glorious reveal, which allowed me to kill again
Tommy was planning to douse for three lights before lighting the match. Vash and Alu would both be dead by now if he'd lived long enough to do so.

When Vash/Alu were lovers there wasn't any drama.
This is why I was the best Cupid
I'm blown away that people aren't going for shortkut. He felt like an obvious wolf hours after the game started.
you know me so well

I mean there's a reason I fake splashed and fake shot him then actually voted him.

Almost everyone has their tell.
Do tell

Ben is still alive, nevermind. Still coming off sus, tho
That was the plan. I could take death attempts
Super high risk. Let's say you are the Bully and see shortkut claim it. You can prove yourself immediately by killing Ben. But if you think Ben is a townie, that puts the village at severe risk (4 v 2 with two likely powerful wolves remaining). You could just rock shortkut, but then the wolves win after they kill the bully tonight with the same situation.
that was my plan but I was concussed
WHY WOULD HE ROCK SHORTKUT.

THAT PROVES NOTHING.

:rofl
that was my goal for antagonizing him

When I died three hours in I was really hoping you were gonna splash shortkut Day 1 - I was actually pretty excited to see the Water & Fire combo when I got here.
I didn't want to splash the first day because 1) if I got it wrong then Tommy would die too and 2) it'd confirm me as townie and those often get targeted by wolves. Plus I wanted the wolves to not die immediately, hopefully they'd be less nervous about the SK in that case.

I wasn't able to pay a lot of attention Friday anyway because I was busy all day, so I didn't really notice if anybody was being suspicious or not.

That's a good spot, although I guess Ben could have played that off as a bit of a shitpost.
Nah, if anybody figures out there are already three confirmed strong roles, he's fucked. He's claimed it multiple times in multiple ways, and there's no backing down from it at this point.

@shortkut did you two forget you killed a gunner the first night?

See and I looked at it the other way.

If you used your Priest splash, it feels silly for the wolves to waste a kill on you. Even if you failed, you're a townie who took out the Solo Killer.

But the wolves had to play the cliche of targeting certain players first.
Yeah, that's a fair point. I also wanted to do some fucking around before proving my role though. :tease I didn't think I'd get immediately killed. In retrospect, maybe I should've joined the bandwagon of pointing at Vash being suspicious.

I don't think you or the wolves did anything wrong in killing you Night 2. Just a lot of bad luck for both.

Town should be fine.

Now you know for next time*.

*assuming Zell runs this format again

I think picking roles is gonna be a thing. But for villagers it might be something like:

"Rank your top 3 from this group" and you get assigned the roles with a 60/30/10 probability from those three. I dunno I just came up with that off the top of my head.

I was so curious to watch Tommy & Kat work together after kut & I sabotaged them last time.
It took the wind out of my sails, to be completely honest. I was almost dumbfounded when I learned someone had consciously picked cupid as their role, and then selected me, the SK, to be paired with someone whos ability could just kill us both. I played the remainder of the game in disbelief. I had zero hope of winning and didn't even get to post once. In short, I was pretty bummed about cupid, and being unable to light a match.

I agree nobody did anything wrong, but it's still fun to discuss strategy and consider if another approach could've had a different result.

Mostly I really was too busy to play at all Friday, but if I did have the time, I think I would've tried to hint to the wolves that I was on their side. If I'd picked up TD's hints about who he thought was evil, I could've lightly accused innocent people and defended wolves. Hopefully they would assume I was SK and let me be.

If I got too much heat from the town, I could prove my role. It would've been a bit risky if somebody didn't let me defend myself before taking a shot, but I should've worried more about the wolves than the town.

I think it could've been fun if we'd had more time to play.

I definitely think all non-town roles should get to pick their role. I don't think people will always pick the same roles, and if they do start to, we can deal with that then.

I'm fine with that solution for townies.

Well he couldn't known you were the SK, but I think the SK having an ally could be really beneficial. The biggest downside is it makes you vulnerable to the wolves. There's usually at least one obvious wolf, so I wasn't too worried about the splashing going awry.

I'm a bit bummed because I think playing as a couple could be really fun, but there's always next time. Hopefully people will want to play again soon.
