Who should pay for the date?

When it comes to dating; Should the man pay? or should the woman pay? or should both split it down the middle? What is best?

What are your thoughts on this?

The person asking. It is just like throwing a party, you are “inviting” the guests because you want them there, not because they will cover their plate. If the other person wants to contribute, that is something to discuss at that time, or tell them they can get the next one

I like this, but I've always been the one to pay typically. I don't like people paying for me, so I pay for me and most of the time I pay/paid for both

Same. My mother raised me that it was traditionally the man who pays for the date. She told me it was very gentleman to be that way. So in every relationship I've been in, I've always paid and women do like that. A lot of girls have told me that it pisses them off when the guy doesn't or he tries to take them to a cheap restaurants like Burger King or McDonald's. I think those restaurants are fine for later in the relationship. But at the beginning, you have to sweeten the pot.
