It was quite hot by our standards this past week, but it's cooled off a bit today.

I now see on Accuweather that much of America is due a heat wave.

I went to a Renaissance Fair today and got sunburnt to a crisp, so I'm not about to tolerate crazy heat.

Edit: Its 64 in Mexico City, mid 60s in most of Guatemala. Everything along the Gulf of Mexico is cooler than the Midwest and Northeast states. This weather is stupid.

I'd say return to England but Pitsford just north of Northampton hit 40.2C / 104.4F in the 2022 UK heatwave so you wouldn't be safe here either.

I'm just fucking with you. I have not-so-fond memories of the last vacation I went on with my family, and it included Disneyworld in Orlando during triple digit heat. If I were my parents, I would have gotten a divorce after that bullshit, too.

% humidity is always higher in the mornings because the air is cooler and can carry less water.

You need to compare the dew point which is a measure of absolute humidity and a better measure of discomfort.
