Jokes aside, I feel like no maintenance is done on buses. I wonder how often suspension and brake work is done on those things on top of oil changes and exhaust work. Last bus I was on felt like it was going to fall apart from all the shaking it was doing from hitting every tiny crack in the street.

I know a former driver and a former mechanic from the bud depot closest to where I grew up, and both left the transit admin to go work for a private company because of safety concerns, if that tells you anything.
