How would that work? People all attempt to shoot shortkut to see if it works?
I had a couple ideas. First one being having two tries until you figure out what your role is. The more insane one is having the guesses automatically become your role either with or without limits. First come first serve kind of thing. Also giving a hint of sorts on how or when any specific power is used. I have a way to make that work that is cool that I also don't want to to spoil if I end up using it lol.

The completely bananas one is a separate game universe where anything goes and the players build up everything from roles to powers to factions during the game. There's no rules or win conditions at the start. Whereas the idea is amazing, I haven't thought car enough to figure out if I need some kind of a basic frame work as a GM or if I can attempt to build it as the game goes.

One day maybe.

There would be some built in hints, you'd know if you were wolf or town, and if you could do a opening night move or not

I liked the suggestion we don't know our role when we start, think of the chaos

I've been thinking about this. My idea was to have people post all day actions in the thread, then resolve them normally. Of course everybody will likely use their ability immediately, so I'm considering whether that would be a bug or a feature.

I have an idea to make it not obvious to the wolves that they're wolves. They'd still have a group chat, but they wouldn't be the only ones.

I'm debating whether to give people any hints about their abilities (if it's day or night, how many people they need to choose, if it's immediate or a reaction ability, etc.). I'm leaning towards no at first for maximum chaos, but maybe giving some info like that when abilities are used.

Anyway, I'm ready to run it whenever and wing whatever I haven't figured out since it won't be a serious game. I want to wait until nobody else is running a game, though.

I think knowing they're wolves but not their power would help

On the opening night people could narrow it down a tad knowing if they got to do a night action or not

Or just let play Wolf Game American version where we are all strapped up and we shoot each other all
