But here for giggles.

The wolves got to choose their 4 roles. So it would likely behoove us to figure out what we are likely dealing with.

Alpha Wolf is a given. They could have 2 depending what Zell allowed.

The other top candidates are probably Shadow Wolf, Guardian Wolf, and Berserk Wolf.

Could potentially see a case for Confusion but they would've used it last night.

Maybe a Wolf Seer if they care about learning roles. Blind Wolf is worthless.

Trickster can be insane but it's fairly niche.

Voodoo, Nightmare, Shaman are all a waste.

Maybe a Wolf Avenger if they're feeling spicy.

In a hypothetical world where I'm the Alpha Wolf, you're dealing with me and 3 Shadow Wolves.

In terms of Solo Killer roles.

We should watch out for Instigator, that's a danger to the town and the wolves as they are a separate faction. They can cause problems so look for a trio alliance and the wolves should probably keep an eye for someone dishonest.

If I were to guess - it's either the Illusionist or the Arsonist we are dealing with here.

Alchemist is tricky to balance and can overlap with wolf kills, Corruptor is challenging and only really good if someone wants to troll us with muting, Evil Detective is strong but also difficult, and Serial Killer is really just a one kill a night thing on average.

Now to the Wildcard roles.

Fool is one that is pretty easy to keep an eye on and avoid, anyone who seems to be trying to get killed or is comfortable getting lynched.

Headhunter would be an interesting pick and has never won. It's worth noting that they cannot be targeting a Gunner or Priest, so if someone has ruled themself out as such a role, they are more likely to be the target of the Headhunter.

Werewolf Fan is probably the safest of the bunch because you can effectively turn the wolves into a team of 5 instead of a team of 4.

Cupid is the one that we need to be aware of as I'm sure everyone knows, like Instigator - it introduces a third faction and the pair can be anything from a townie/townie, townie/wolf, wolf/wolf, townie/sk, wolf/sk. The latter would be utterly terrifying.

This has been things to watch for in Wolf 17.
I'll be back later.

It's the perfect cover.

Oh by the way I checked 2 & 10 and it came back red.

Probably a good time to mention that.

Since TD was Cupid, that means no fool or HH, so we can lynch freely without worrying about ending the game.

It also means no fan or sorcerer, so wolves cannot have a good aura. (Whether anybody chose to be a seer to make this info helpful is another matter.)

I think Cupid also means instigator is not possible.

Listen, I think we have to work with the information we have right now.

So far we know Local is the gunner, now, will the wolves kill him right away or will they let him blunder about and kill more townspeople? Hard to say, honestly, but he’s the most defined threat to both sides, so I’m not 100% sure how to address it.

Next, I’m going to show my utter inexperience here, but I dont know the results of Cupid being killed is. A quick explainer, if possible?

Beyond that, our knowledge is limited. Some people here are very good at being deceptive and some people are newbies or idiots like me as the former and Ants as the latter (oops, ants isn’t playing…) shortkut’s sassy sussy asside, anybody could be anything.

All that being said, none of it being relevant or sensical, and me having wasted at least 30 seconds of your time, going with my pure amogus instincts here and voting Benzine

Wait, what's the logic here? How do we know there's no fan or sorcerer? Those two have nothing to do with RV

Just to be clear, the main result is what Kat said in that it guarantees there's no Fool, Headhunter or Werewolf Fan.

People are terrified of lynching the Fool because it's an instant lose condition. Likewise lynching the Headhunter's target is an instant lose. So I think people will generally be more willing to lynch, although wary of a potential Cupid couple win if they are still alive when the numbers get low.

I believe that there not being a Werewolf Fan means there can't be more than 4 wolves, although someone smarter should confirm that.

Wildcard Role:
1x Selected Fool/Headhunter/Werewolf Fan/Cupid

Fan is a Wildcard role, much like Cupid. There can only be one Wildcard.

Zell made it clear during the last game that if there's a fan there needs to be a sorcerer and if there's a sorcerer there needs to be a fan. So since the wildcard role was Cupid, there is neither a fan nor a sorcerer.

Ahh, thanks for clarifying. I didn't really follow the last game at all so I didn't know how that worked. I thought wildcard was always RV.

I'm just gonna be 100% perfectly honest with y'all.

I chose Loudmouth cause I thought it would be a funny dumbass thing to pick.

And then after I told Zell my choice I remembered I should have chosen Priest to try and get the fucking Castlevania badge.

I was so fucking upset with myself.
liar, this is wolf talk, vash wouldn't forget the castlevania badge
