Absolutely. My 17 year old neice got a real nasty beating a few months ago on a night out, and turns out it was a boy who dragged her to the ground and held her down while two girls stomped on her head. If I had of been close to that, that boy would be dead right now, and I'd be in jail. No questions asked.

This boy threatened to murder my daughter with one of his father's guns. We called the police. The police went to his house and questioned him. He lied about it and got out of doing any kind of legal punishment. The school said they didn't catch him say it, even though several kids came forward and accused him of it. The school still did nothing. I wanted to beat 8 shades of shit out of him. When I saw him at my daughter's awards ceremony at the middle school, all I could think about was choking him out. I swear, a majority of kids have no morals and respect no one's boundaries.

Those both go quite a bit beyond bullying. 
More broadly, my entire early life existence outside of what I now consider to be immediate family falls into "dark thoughts" territory. Adults were my earliest bullies, using me to drive a wedge between my mother and (then-apparent/alleged) father. I looked pretty dark-skinned as a youngin', especially so since I was always outside. The man in question was of Italian descent, my mother cheated on him with a Black man in retaliation for him cheating on her multiple times. It honestly could've gone either way.
But motherfucker and his family, and gradually parts of the neighborhood, liked to call me a certain word that starts with the letter N to hurt my mother and grandmother instead of being responsible adults and addressing their problems. I have subsequently wished death on them for decades. Most are indeed dead by now, either via drugs or poor health. And I say good, fuck 'em. I ain't got no goddamn respect for the dead if they're trash in life.
Anyway, it was all downhill from there for a long time! People suck. Life's good now, though. Which is actually the important thing.

Kids at school were cruel as fuck, for a variety of reasons (take your pick, I'm a nerd, ginger, not masculine, wear glasses, etc). My brother was also a cruel, cruel person...

I was picked on for being the poor kid, the “faggot” (long hair and glasses was enough for that designation) before any of us were old enough what it meant, the nerd, and eventually the white boy and “Columbine Kid” in high school because I listen to heavier music and just so happened to be a freshman right after that happened. It bothered me as a kid, and often resulted in me fighting back whenever someone tested me, but I didn’t start getting left alone until I was a teenager. The only repercussion that has really lasted was my intolerance of people ganging up on others and maliciously teasing others. I didn’t grow up to hate my family for not having a ton of money, or homophobic because I was called a slur, or any of that shit… if anything, I became more accepting of the underdogs of society. My best friends in high school were a heavy ginger dude, a black metalhead dude, a gay Greek dude, a goth chick, and my one friend from childhood that got into the same school as me. We were a United Nations of rejects.

But yeah the perpetuation of bullshit really gets under my skin. Absolutely cannot stand people that are bullied, or ostracized, or whatever and then do that to others in a failed bid to "fit in" or otherwise just grow up to become the same goddamn type of person. Like absent or deadbeat parents - so fucking many of the neighborhood kids for me, that didn't have their fathers (nor substitute father figures), went on to themselves knock up a slew of women and left all those kids abandoned, too.

Yup, I agree. There’s a certain bond that forms when you’re among a collective of people that were on one end, and then a whole different bond between those on the other end. The ones getting picked on and not going to shit end up being a lot more compassionate than the ones that get picked on and turn into assholes. The bond the assholes share is steeped in misery loving company, meanwhile, the rest of us grow up treating people pretty decent despite whatever mistreatment endured.

I did have kids tell me that they thought I would when I was in high school, though. I was pretty much a friendless social outcast in HS, and I ate lunch all by myself until my senior year. Some girls assumed I was destined to go Psycho or some shit and invited me once to their table to "befriend" me in order to be sure I didn't kill them. I thought it was an outlandish idea, but the attention was nice.
