This one is going to be different. As usual, everyone will be assigned a random role. However, you can change your role at any time in the game subject to the following conditions:

1) You select the role you wish to change to at night. You will not become that role until the following night.
2) The roles available to select are based on your current role. You can select any lower level job in the same job tree as your current role, and any role that is one level higher.

So as an example, You get Bell Ringer. Your available roles are Avenger, Loudmouth, Farmer. That change will take a day. The Farmer is the base level for every job tree. If you want to become a Gunner, it will take 6 nights. Bell Ringer -> Farmer -> Priest -> Judge -> Marksman -> Bully -> Gunner.

You will not gain additional consumable ability uses by moving jobs. So if you are a Priest and water someone, you have consumed all of your consumable abilities. If you become a Gunner, you will have 0 bullets. Consumable abilities will be proportional, so a Bully who has used two rocks will get one bullet if they convert to Gunner.

First shot. Idea is you can move 1 orange arrow each night, or however many red. Blue arrows are all technically the same position so are interconnected.

@Zell 17 Did I get that vaguely right?

I can try to visualize the nights it takes to change too.

That might do it and dispense the need for text. Maybe similar for the blue arrows as well.
Uggggh. I was being lazy and working with what diagrams.net had for connectors.

I guess if I actually use the connector handles and don't just float arrows on top I could accomplish the technically correct look you're going for.
