Multi What if Remake?

AI made this, but it definitely had me nerding out anyway.

I didn't expect much from the FF7 Remake when it first came out, but I was pleasantly very surprised (haven't had time to play Rebirth yet). It was way more well done than I expected and I didn't feel like it took away from my good memories of the original which still stands on its own in my mind. And still to this day I prefer the turn-based choosing-things-from-menus days of old over action RPG systems, but they managed to do it in way that I didn't hate either.

All that said, while before I may have scoffed at it, these days I'd welcome the opportunity to see reimagined versions of old gems, such as Chrono Trigger. I recognize this may not be possible for many games -- apparently Yoshinori Kitase said it could take 20 years to make an FF6 remake for example? -- but for the sake of imagination let's ignore real life limitations.

So what old gems would you like to see reimagined?

I wouldn't mind something like nintendo did with links awakening. That made it look great.

But a remake like ff7... well, I'm not that nostalgic about CT, and ff7r came out pretty good, so why not? Everyone can choose to voice their opinion with their wallets.
