What’s on your Christmas list?

I shamelessly ask for rent assistance for whoever is willing to give me a gift. Everything has gone up the last four years except my salary
And only the Republicans think this is how the world is supposed to be.

I shouldn't have to spend $300 a week at the grocery store to feed my family. Mortgage, utilities, food, every day items have all ballooned in price and my pay is still below living levels... and I'm in Florida. I feel like I'm living in Silicon Valley. I feel your pain man.

{EDIT} What's worse is this is shamelessly blamed on inflation and Biden. But the reality is that when inflation goes away, the prices won't drop. Why would they? Why SHOULD they? If a company can maliciously pay and receive exorbitant prices on NECESSARY goods, why would they ever lower the prices to a mean again? My pay is the only thing that won't inflate to compensate.

I asked for a new dash cam and phone mount for my car.

I can't really think of much else that I could ask for... maybe some new snow pants since I ripped my last/only pair. But I really can't justify that purchase until off-season because I do not like paying full price for seasonal clothes.

Nothing, but for the sake of santa bringing me something for the kids to see, I'm designing a fake blink182 ticket to put in a box under the tree because I told them I wish I could go to that concert but it is too expensive. So santa will save the day.

I bought Super Mario RPG, and figured it would also be a Christmas present so I haven't opened it yet.

I don't want material things, I can buy those whenever, I want experiences. So I skip presents for myself and save.

I need some new t-shirts. The washer has done a number on most of mine as they've slowly shrunk enough for me to brazenly slip my midriff if I happen to accidentally shrug.

Socks and underwear are next after that I think.

I already got too many things for everyone during blackfriday sales so I'm all good. Got a keyboard for myself so I'm happy for this Christmas with that.

I'm terrible to buy for, because for the most part if I want something, I'll just get it myself, and anything I haven't bought is generally far too expensive for a Christmas gift.

Currently if anyone insists on getting me something, I just point at some 40K related. Can never have too much plastic I'm not painting.

Same, but I realized that the best gifts for me are the things that I need in my life, but which I can't be arsed to buy myself. Work gave us all laptop stands today and I was like "hey yeah that's something I could use but would never think to buy.

A laptop stand.
Socks.
A bigger glass baking dish (they simply don't exist in this country).
That sort of thing.

Got it, send booze.

Or maybe new books! Can't have too many books in my to-read-pile! :D
Nobody has ever gone wrong buying me books.

... Well, except that one time my mom put a book in a PS4 box. But I did still enjoy reading it.

I'd like any of this stuff:
  • Dishwasher-safe stickers for my water bottle
  • A case for my phone
  • Slippers
  • Legos
  • Books
  • One of those coffee warmers you can put on your desk (I'll use it for when people call me right after I make a cup of hot cocoa)
  • Fun/warm slipper socks (even though I have four drawers full of socks already...)
  • Homemade sweets
  • Those blue light glasses somebody mentioned in another thread
