100%'d Rain World today. Not just the trophies, but everything. All pearls read, rainbow expedition slug unlocked, EVERYTHING done. I finally finished Challenge 70 today. Probably took about 5 hrs or so altogether. Made it to the final phase 3 times and died, but I finally finished it just now. Whew. Glad to finally be done with this game, but I really learned to love it over time.

But... The devs are releasing some new DLC later this year. Maybe I'm the only one that feels this way, but I don't care for DLC for 7 year old games. Move on to something else 😭

I've played more DLC in the last couple of years than in probably most of the time prior to that, and I would say I just don't care for DLC that much in general to be honest.

Even when the content is superior to the base game, I feel like I'm usually worn out by the time I get there.

I feel the same way. Usually when I get to the DLC I'm just like "ugh let's get this over with". Rain World's Downpour DLC was FANTASTIC, but it was huge. Way bigger than the base game, by a factor of like... ten.

I had to put it aside a couple of times and come back to it later. That way, I was able to enjoy it. But the problem is that usually when I start playing a game, I just want to finish it all at once and be done with it. I don't want to relearn controls, gameplay, etc., so I'd rather just finish it all at once, even if those extras become a slog because of it.

you can throw, ahem, "EA SPORTS College Football 25" (yes that is the official title) on there for me. normally i pass on platting EA games because they usually have several insane online requirements. this one was comparatively nothing, just enough ranked matches to hit the tier second from bottom

Done! Let me know if I'm missing anything - I can't seem to find your profile online anywhere.

I've done a bunch of EA Madden games (and one old NCAA game), and they're usually pretty brutal. The only one I'm missing on Playstation that I started was Madden 15 (or maybe 16?) - it required you to win several online games in a row, and I know that I came one game short several times. I wish I managed to get it before the servers closed though.

I only learned of Astro Boy a couple days ago and watched a gameplay vid. It looks awesome. Seems like such a fun and inspired platformer
Fair warning, it reminds me a lot of Mario Odyssey with relatively simplistic platforming (albeit with several different gimmicks).

There are a few (like 13 or so) more challenging shorter levels but it's more of a collectathon with a ton of PlayStation nostalgia as the hook.

Oh, from the snippets I saw it was giving me more Mario Galaxy than Odyssey. The platforming looked simple yeah but it seemed like they kept the gameplay fresh with varied mechanics. I'll still probably play it in a few years when I eventually get a PS5 haha

@Smacktard any advice for the GTA V stunt jumps? I just started working on them and they're super brutal. I feel like I can't control the car during the slow motion parts and get it to land successfully. I also have no idea where to reliably find a motorcycle in a quick way.
But a motorbike using your phone and keep it in your garage. Do all the jumps one after another. Most jumps should use the bike. You can adjust your pitch mid-air. Use guides for the tricky ones and a stunt jump map to plan them out. There are some that are real pains. Saving before a couple might be a smart idea if they're over water or something

This is amazing advice, thank you! I got the bike as you suggested, then knocked out about 10 of these with little difficulty.

I still think the stunt jumps are weird because sometimes I replicate the video guide I'm following perfectly and it says I failed. It takes a while to reload my save, but for a lot of these jumps, it's faster to do so.

For some of the jumps, if you land too far or not far enough, or both wheels don't touch down at the same time, it says the jump is failed. For a few jumps, you will have to buy a fast car -- there's a specific model used in some stunt videos -- because the bike doesn't get the right height or distance on some jumps.
