People were extremely hyped for this game/potential series, so it's unfortunate. The struggles the game had combined with an actual Dead Space Remake being hot on its heels didn't do them any favors. Usually this would likely signal the end of the studio, but we'll see.

Article:
Video-game developer Striking Distance Studios, a subsidiary of Korean publisher Krafton Inc., is appointing new management several months after the commercial flop of its first game.

Chief Executive Officer Glen Schofield is leaving, a Krafton representative confirmed Wednesday, saying he has “decided to pursue new opportunities.” Striking Distance’s chief operating officer and chief financial officer are also leaving. Krafton said all three departures were voluntary.

It released in December, so quite possibly. I think it also didn't have particularly good legs because of mixed/negative word of mouth, mostly stemming from people over-hyping before launch. See also OG No Man's Sky, though perhaps without the constant self-owns.

EA were complete dicks with the Dead Space Remake timing too, with that dropping not even two months later. Bonus points if they say it under-performed and will once again be killing it off.
