Hello everyone, I’m Shawne Benson, part of the Global Third Party Relations team here at PlayStation. And I’m excited to announce a new State of Play broadcast streaming tomorrow, September 14 at 2pm Pacific.

Tomorrow’s broadcast will focus on updates to previously announced games coming to PlayStation consoles. From indie and PS VR2 highlights, to major upcoming titles from our third-party partners, our latest show has something for everyone!

Here at PlayStation, our vision is to be the best place to play, and publish, great games. And because there are thousands of developers and publishers all around the world constantly making great games, our team has their work cut out for them.

I was hoping the Tales of Arise stuff was going to mean coming to the catalog but I guess not. Although I suppose it might for October to try to get people to buy the DLC.

Wouldn't particularly surprise me on that, yeah. The new (returning) studio/IP head spoke of wanting to retain the legacy/history of the series, which screams more remasters/ports, so could see a Catalog/Pass inclusion being part of that initiative.

I hope so. I'd love to see one of those games on the Catalog to try it.

I didn't care about FF or Spiderman so yeah.

I am somehow even more confused after Googling who or what a Bennet Fody is. I've lived under a rock for too long.

It wouldn't be a Sony presser without some odd game being slotted in somewhere though, so more power to him!

But no, I have never heard of GWOP, nor Getting Over It. I feel like if the indie dev isn't incredibly toxic, the game is super amazing and/or it doesn't turn into a super meme (see: I Am Bread, Goat Simulator) I ain't got a clue 'bout nuffin'.

They didn't have this problem on PS1 but now they do

Like I'm all for experimental/novelty/meme/whatever games - but if they're not super good and amusing, I'm not going to do anything more than watch a video or two. I barely play a fraction of the "good" games I want to because there ain't enough time in the day.

Well you see, the one involves going on a murder rampage every couple of minutes whilst dealing with emotional trauma and the other is a game I didn't know existed until about 18 hours ago.

Hmm... yeah I'unno, then! They just never managed to crack through enough circles for me to randomly hear about them through friends, YouTube's algorithm or like 2~3 communities I semi-regularly lurk.

I feel that, yeah. I'm sure they're out there, but the games I wind up hearing about through the various grapevines seem to forget that "OMG So Random!" can happen with things like ragdoll physics, without having to intentionally make the game play like poo.

For whatever it's worth QWOP seems to have stable controls... it's just finicky, maybe? Kinda hard to actually tell without having the controller myself!

The Souls games are among my favourite and even they have absurdly silly ragdoll physics.

Well made games that are goofy as shit are fun but are rare.

Then there's games like Valhalla where 30 minutes in I got launched into orbit to my death out of nowhere.
