Whoa whoa whoa.
Vinnie Paz #3?

Nice I didn't expect to see him there for anyone - used to love me some JMT and AoTP.

I, uh, don't use Spotify. I have all of my songs on my phone and use an MP3 playing app.

I hate to be the guy that sells a streaming service to someone, but if you ever consider making the transition… Spotify is a great value for the amount of content. I’ve went through Pandora, Slacker, YouTube Music (back before it merged with YouTube), and a couple others, and Spotify has been the most consistent across most genres.

It's cool that Spotify shows the total minutes listened. Apple Music doesn't seem to tell me that, but it did say that I crossed 100,000 minutes in September. This was actually a down year for me in listening to music since COVID started (Last.fm stats attached), so I presume that I'll be somewhere around 130,000 minutes by year-end?

This is funny because my FB feed has a guy who is very anti-streaming service and I'm heading there now to post my Wrapped just to see what he's gotta say to me 😆

I think I would have more if I didn't also use Pandora which I don't pay for so I guess they're not going to tell me. That is an amazing amount of music! I think the one thing I missed about the pandemic is all the time I spent working from home just jamming.

I am also pretty anti-streaming service, but I ended up giving in unfortunately. Luckily, Apple Music still counts everything whether they're streamed or not.

I would definitely recommend using Last.fm to track your listening if you can. It looks kinda sketchy because the website hasn't been updated in years, but I'm very thankful to have 15 years of listening data available. It can be a bit finicky to get it working, but once it works properly, you are good.

Yeah, if I ever did go to streaming music (unlikely), Spotify would be where I'd go. Definitely ain't paying for Sirius, no matter how much they "miss me".

Fuck Sirius, dude. They lost me as a customer 20 years ago and never got me back.

Generally, I don’t like giving away free advertising for a service that charges users and pays jack shit to its artists… but from a consumer standpoint, with a varied taste in music, it has the best selection and value for your dollar. It sucks subscribing to a service only to find out bands you like aren’t on it, so my service to y’all is wasting free trials to find out which ones don’t suck.

Seeing your minutes makes me realize this household doesn't listen to a lot of music.

71 genres.
815 artists.
1451 songs.
I do like VSQ and they're in my relax/study playlist

I also dont use spotify, I have everything stored on my phone, so sad to see expandable memory go away from Samsung's phones

No idea my top artist would be, but rock is definitely my top genre
