Resolved Sign up / Password Reset / MailServer nonsense

Just dotting this down here to make it more official and trackable.

When I signed up here, I ended up butterfingering my password so I got no clue what it is. I got no idea how long I got until my cookies decide to spoil and I'm booted off. So I got problems and suggestions.

Problems being that I can't reset my password as I'm not getting an email from the site. I'm 95% sure my email wasn't messed up as I can login with my username and the password I thought I did isn't working with that either. So most def I screwed the password. Since I'm not getting an email.... The mailserver is probably out of whack. Hate working on mailservers.

Suggestion then. How to avoid this from happening in the future. I remember when I was signing up that there wasn't that secondary "type your password again" field. I get that's it's easier, faster, more convenient to not have one, but that probably also confused by browser into not thinking I was signing up for something and never got a prompt to save my login info. So I can't even fetch and use my botched one. Welp.

I’ll leave the mail server part for @Crystal, but if you want to change your password, you can manually DM me a temporary one and we can at least get that taken care of now.

Edit - I just looked through registration options, and there appears to be no ability to enable or disable password verification upon registration.

Not a problem at all. That’s what we’re supposed to do around here. Ring the bell when you leave for the day if you had an exceptional customer service experience, leave a message in the Complaints/Compliments box, or just please don’t shit on the bathroom floor.
