Resolved Reaction score calculation

How are reaction scores calculated? Only @Fire Queen and @Olga have a higher score than number of posts

Reaction score is basically how many likes you receive (or hugs or hearts or etc.), points are based on earning trophies and are basically just an arbitrary number.

I was wondering if the different reasons had different values or if FQ and Olga only make high quality posts that gather lots of reactions

The two aren't really related, honestly, but as it stands now all reactions are worth +1, we could tweak that if needed

You could do ratio of reactions to post count stats, revealing the high quality posters. I've actually been doing that calculation to see who I should follow around lol

Hmm. Have to give it a look and see if that's doable, that would be a worthwhile score to see! I know I'd be nowhere near the top, lol

That’s what I was looking at, just doing approximates in my head. If you have the actual numbers, can you confirm that @Crystal had one of the lower ratios?

@Crazy Jamie also had a high ratio, with more reactions than posts, but has fallen off the reaction list.

Oh hey you made the thing!! I know what it means, though now I do wonder if it will be nebulous in presentation since people tend to associate higher number = more. Not sure if flipping them will help.. Or rebranding it in someway and giving it a percentage. @Olga for example is 140% pure awesome. I on the other hand am only 71% awesome. @Alune At the Top just sucks.

Yeah looking at both I think counting up will be more at-a-glance intuitive for most. Curious what @shortkut thinks since was doing these casual calculations too.

I did think about that fear lol, maybe needs to be hidden in the lil' dropdown, I don't like stressful things in my face either. Just ended up being a good metric for me to make most efficient use of the reaction score list on the members page to decide upon whom I shall direct my stalking on the internet like a creep benevolent lurking!

So far you're omnipresent enough you're easier to benevolently lurk. The Olgas and Jamies with their small post counts and high reactions are very sneaky though... Someday the lurking tides may turn.
