I have decided to start a playthrough of Pokemon Sword, and I thought it might be fun to have you wonderful people name my pokemon as I acquire them.

My only rule is that I like my pokemon names to start with the same letter as their actual name. For example, if I got a Woolio, I would want it to start with W.

But if someone has an especially amusing name that breaks that convention, then sure why not.

I dunno. Could be fun.

I'm going to start with Scorbunny this go, so does anyone have a name for this guy:

My 3 yo won’t sleep so she said this was a Skip-butty because he’s skipping and butts are funny

Yeah I'm probably gonna have my kids give me names if there's no timely suggestions. I'll keep updating the thread with their choices though.

I'm the opposite, I never did it when I was younger (because I wanted the REAL names, damnit) but as I got older I cared less.

There for a bit I named them all after athletes I liked but since they all end up disappointing you I switched to thoughtful names like "Goober" and "ThisFknGuy"

I don't really name mine, though I do when playing rom hacks...weird habit. I just keep their regular names, because they're hired guns as this is a business transaction. Get me my badges, I'll get you your evolutions and moves.
