Nintendo My Hand Hurts

Holy fuck, I'm trying to replay The Conduit on the Wii and I start to get hand cramps after like 30 minutes of play because of the shit design of the Wiimote and the lack of controller support for the game. I could see usage of the Wii Zapper, but the game makes use of the shake feature of the nunchuck and Wiimote. The grip I got for it doesn't help.

Is there a third party wii mote controller out there that was designed to be more ergonomic?

The internet has not been any help. A thread I came across posted by someone with similar issues got responses like "I never got cramps, you must be using it wrong".

There is no way I can play the Metroid Prime Trilogy with this being a problem.

I feel like me being a lefty really makes it worse than it should be. However, I don't really have the same problem using a mouse unless I'm constantly trying to make small adjustments with the mouse, like in aim trainers.

I did try swapping hands and while navigating menus with my left hand is much more fluid, playing the game seems like an exercise in futility.
