I will have approximately £1000 to spend (so not a massive amount).

I do a lot of AutoCAD design work (mainly diagrams using lines, no 3D work..).

I also do a fair bit of web development.

Ideally, would have multiple display ports available. At least two.

I know this isn't going to get me anything near top of the range, but I am sure I can get something decent for my money... trouble is, I have no idea what I am looking at.

Does anybody here know more than me and can recommend anything?

Are you looking to do any gaming on it, or just work?

Okie dokie, that helps narrow things down a bit. I'll do some research on the best components for AutoCAD software and get back to you!

Doing my research suggests a good speed CPU, core count irrelevant, ram of at least 16gb, solid GPU. Hopefully I get some time tonight to put together a build or two to recommend:)

I took a quick look at things as well. Won't be able to do much as I'm at work now and will be dead by the time I'm hope probably. But I got some info to help out narrow things down.

CPU can be any with a high core clock speed. Best probably would be Intel 13700k or 14700k chips.

RAM 32gb. 16 would be a bit too little from what I saw.

GPU is a pickle, as autodesk recommends workspace ones, like quattros and whatnot. If you do mainly 2d drawings, almost any GPU will do though. For 3d, basically, get whatever is the best you can within your budget.

You'll probably get better builds from others here, but this is my first crack, it's around the £1,000 mark, shows as about $1,000, but those are from US stores, so that price won't be completely accurate. If anyone wants to improve on this, by all means!!

I know this is late, but I will recommend reddit's buildapcforme subreddit, they have helped me pick out my two pcs and it went great
