Nintendo If you were an NPC Pokemon trainer...

... what would your line up be?

Try and take into account the fact that many NPC battlers have themes and generally aren't all that stellar.

Then - same question, but Gym leader. You can post a strong team here, but please don't turn up with more than 2 final evolutions. Obviously you'll need to choose a type, but there's exceptions for strong enough themes.

If I had to be a generic trainer on the weaker side I'd probably have a couple ghost types or something. Duskull and Haunter have always been on my list of favorite Pokemon, so those would definitely be on there. If we can go cooler than that, maybe like a Paleontologist trainer who uses all fossil Pokemon because a lot of those are pretty rad. Tyrantrum would be the big hitter along with some combo of Pokemon from the gen 3 or gen 5 fossils.

For the gym I'd probably go ghost again, but steel or fire would be the backup choices. Just the other day I actually came across an 11 year old Proboards forum where I was joining a Pokemon RP with Mr. Blue and some others. I had a cool death-themed concept for my gym on there. I was running Haunter, Duskull, Mandibuzz, Marowak, Houndoom, and Shedinja there.
