so tonight I realized after almost 2 years of living here that I can hear the high schools football field from certain spots in my back yard.

It’s kinda like that around here. It used to catch me off guard, because anytime I heard a voice over a PA before it was the police… now it’s some old dude doing the play by play for the middle and high schools around the corner. Imagine my surprise when, out of nowhere, I heard “he… could… go… all… the… WAAAAAAY!” for the first time. My dumbass started looking around like “who’s going where? What?”

I was just at Target hearing morning marching band. I was like "why is the train playing music so loud coming through the neighborhood back there?" My husband was like "that's not a train" 😆 I think if I heard marching bands play at 7am, I would be kinda grumpy but then again, I am already up...

Do you ever get high enough where you think they are cheering for you to get high?

Never high enough to actually believe that, but certainly high enough to make the joke that they are. I’m also one of those dipshits that hears emergency sirens and immediately says “I didn’t do it!” OR hears a train horn and yells “MOO MOTHERFUCKER, MOO!” So, there’s that…

Why would you say "moo" for a train horn..?

Why would you say "moo" for a train horn..?

…do I need a logical reason to do any of the stupid shit I do?

I started doing that back when I lived in Baltimore. Being so close to the B&O line and the train museum growing up, we always heard the old steam locomotives coming through. One in particular had a really low and drawn out horn that would sound like a cow in the distance, and it always got moved around in the middle of the night to avoid traffic delays. So, we got used to the “midnight moo”, and the rest is history.
