I've had it twice. Once in July 2021 and once in July 2022. I was vaccinated/boosted at the time for both and it felt like a head cold for a combined 48 hours. I got lucky but the worse part was after the first bout I lost my sense of taste for a few months. Very bizarre feeling to bite into food and it be completely tasteless...

I've had it twice, neither time was particularly bad. Second time especially was very mild.

Had a flu 3 weeks ago and that seriously fucked me up, I still haven't fully recovered from it. Didn't do a COVID test at the time.

I mightve, but I'm not sure. There was a point in time early on just before or as lockdown started that everyone in the family got sick one after the other. Didn't think much of it as there also weren't test out yet either. Went and passed.

We've all had flu like stuff since then, but nothing too severe. So either we got lucky with a mild covid or it was just a cold or flu. Dunno.

I had a monstrously bad flu that had me straight up bedridden for most of a week and completely ruined my Christmas a couple years ago.

BUT I kept testing negative for COVID so it definitely wasn't that even though a bunch of my co-workers had it :shrug

I have either escaped it to date, or if I've had it it's been very mild or outright asymptomatic. It's basically impossible to tell; I've used a couple of at-home tests during allergy flare-ups, but they've turned up negative.

I've used 1 non-medical N95 per week, covered by a washable cloth mask that I change twice a week, for work and all indoor settings since March 2020. I skipped the booster prior to the bivalent thinking one specifically for Omicron (Delta? IDR) would appear, otherwise I've taken all of the jabs for COVID and flu. Mostly because I'm paranoid as fuck, slightly because I don't want any guilt. And, y'know, entirely because I don't like being sick and oddly find the mask soothing/comforting. :giggle

Anecdotally everyone has either been maskless or similarly (overly) cautious for at least two years now.

I got it August 2021. Was feeling congested and weirdly cold one day even though I was in the tropics having a mango daiquiri by the pool. Woke up two days later and was like "I can't smell the soap I'm using to wash my hands." That was the worst of it.

Got it again early this December as my partner had just gotten over it. I didn't lose my sense of smell/taste but I was oddly congested. Tbf, my allergies are year-round so being congested isn't new to me but because I was in close proximity to someone who had it, I took the test and it was positive. Ugh! I really thought it would skip me since I kept testing negative throughout the week before then!
