Happy seasoned gratings of many flavors to you all.

After a 4.5 hour drive on Christmas Eve, with 2 loaded vehicles, I made it to the VRBO rental and got everything unloaded.



All 3 kids are in bed, pre-lit tree is up, with presents arranged. Realized I forgot to load up stockings so everyone gets Christmas piles on the couch.



Why yes, that is my Christmas onesie knee. Wife left it pretty late though so the print is fairly boring.

This place has big "I'm gonna see a werewolf" windows in the kitchen. Just falls off into darkness so ominously. So that's fun.



We're here until Saturday, then I get to load all the presents and tree back up then drive the other way!

My friend was supposed to bring potatoes (I guess) and didn't. This resulted in me having to drive about 40 miles to an open Walgreens across the New Hampshire state line, to buy the 4 remaining Idahoan instant potatoes.



Also on going to leave, I discovered my son had dropped his Switch case (sans Switch) on the ground getting out of the passengers side of the car last night. I backed the car up after he got out, to unload it.

How close all his Switch games came to destruction scared him pretty good, although I have no delusion that it'll make him pay more attention.

I led with the "you dropped your case under the car before I backed it up" and let him stew a moment before the "it's fine, you got lucky."

The property we're renting has an old "horse swap" next to it. Not part of this place so I can't go poke around, but we're so far from major towns that people would swap out their tired horses for a fresh one.



So of course I smoked a blunt in it's direction.




I am again reminded that there's a scratch on the screen protector right over my front facing camera, making it slightly blurry. Guess I should have asked for a replacement for Christmas. Now I have to buy them myself.

I don’t mind prerolls if they’re hemp paper, but my days of smoking Dutchmasters, Phillies, and Garcia Vega’s really turned me off of regular blunts. The type you got is the closest I’ll get, and even those can be a chore to finish if they’re not fresh or relit more than once.
