We had this before, but the functionality didn't work well, we tried it to have an @Alu tag to always tag @A PineSol Scent no matter his name, but it just didn't work right. I'll poke around and see if there's something more functional nowadays.

i'm well in favour of not changing alus name or not including him because he's generally on top of things and it's easy to think of him when we're thinking of a group we are forced to exclude him from.

Well we'd do it by usergroup more than name, just need to find the way to make it work.

Yes, this is a thing and it's something we can toggle on/off for each group individually.



I'm going to set up a "Wolf Players" group so all of those usual suspects can easily be tagged by GMs.

Yep, it's on for all groups at the moment, but we'll filter that down, because we definitely don't need it on for all groups, lol.

Yeah, I can turn it off for all of the individual groups that're only there for one person, barring Alu.

And while it's "lol funny", we might want to just rename Alu's usergroup to "Alu" instead of "Alu Sucks", so that "@Alu" will always work to tag him.

Kind of an aqua/teal was the first thought I had, but didn't really seem fitting for the games.

I made it black/red for now.

I'm not finding any built in option for tagging of social groups, but since it's a third party addon I'm not surprised.

You can tag the groups, but I don't think it notifies members at all.

It might be possible to edit the same functionality in to tag them by name, but I'm not inclined to try to just make a toggle for whether user group or tags ping you.

I'll add it to my imaginary JIRA board, then forget it.
