Multi Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer

We’re about 24 hours out from the release of the trailer.

What are your thoughts? Take too long? Think the leak played a role in delaying the trailer?

What would you like to see? Personally, I was unhappy with the campaign length in the last game. There was so much potential for depth that they didn’t explore… they could have had an entire string of missions for Trevor’s mother, just to name one example.

I apparently missed any kinds of leaks so I only know the trailer is coming. GTAV is the only GTA i've played (I played it on PS3 when it came out) but it was a pretty fun sandboxy game. I don't have any expectations but I just hope it's not riddled in microtransactions. If not I'll probably pick it up just cuz these are fun games.

I don't have any specific expectations. I've enjoyed the GTA games I've played, but I'd only say one of them (Vice City) is one of my favourite games of all-time. I feel like I know what GTA is about, so there's nothing I'm expecting to surprise me in this trailer one way or another. I might buy it near when it comes out instead of waiting years like I did with GTA V, just so I can enjoy it while the game is hyped up.

I enjoyed GTAV. I liked the multi protagonist stories that connected and all had their strengths. I hope something similar returns.

What I REALLY want are more single player heists. Those two missions where you research and hire teammates and perform the heists and get a cut were, to me, the most fun aspects of 5 and I was sad there weren't more than two. I don't play GTAO so the ones there are irrelevant to me.

Maybe making them additional side missions instead of only 1 or 2 main missions.

I haven’t seen anything about microtransactions in the single player game, but I’d assume the online side would have a similar setup as the current GTA online.

VC definitely saw the franchise nail down what would become their formula in future titles while GTA3 was their step into the realm of 3D gaming instead of top-down.

Agreed, and I’d like to see more variation in options for replay value. You only had to play through the game twice to see how each route plays out for the most part.

Maybe making them additional side missions instead of only 1 or 2 main missions.

Or reoccurring throughout, with a general outline for the schematics.

First thing that stuck out to me was two different showings of gators. I see a mission or two involving them in the future.

There also seems to be a big focus on “streaming” and social media in the trailer. I expect a return of LifeInvader or Tw@tter?

Considering how offensive the franchise aims to be, they’ve always been pretty inclusive barring technical difficulties (you know, people can only twerk so fast within a certain frame rate).

You KNOW they’re gonna factor in that kind of weather considering the lengths they went through on V and RDR2 when it came to the weather.

Mild interest in GTA games, although I played the shit out of VC and SA. Watching this trailer stirred something in me though. Not only does it make me want to get this game, but it makes me want to finally get and play GTA4 and GTA5, too.

If you enjoyed VC and SA, you’ll find a place in your heart for IV and V respectively. They both have a different atmosphere and feel, and you’ll probably enjoy the depth of the characters compared to the older games.

The only thing I'm pretty upset about is having to invest in a console for this game. I switched to PC in 2020 because it could handle any game that was out, but this game is A. Not releasing on PC at the same time, and B. My PC won't be able to run it by the tail end of 2025 at any kind of decent settings. So, I guess I'm saving up for a dumb fuckin PS5 that I will pretty much never use.

Trailer looked great though. I really enjoyed GTAV back when, so I am definitely looking forward to this one.
