I love Evil Dead, it does such a good job of making you question who the good guys are.
As far as games go, Evil Dead: The Game is not like other Evil Dead games. Instead of providing fun and quirky stories like Fistful of Boomstick or Regeneration, its keeping in line with the current console generation's mode of online gaming and using the asymmetrical model all the other horror games use. That said, it does a good job of standing out among a myriad of similar games since playing as a demon is a lot more varied than playing as five or six different versions of the same slasher.
The survivors side of the game lets you play as characters from all three movies as well as a few from Ash vs. Evil Dead. They are split into four classes- Leader, Warrior, Hunter and Support. There's also class building mechanics that place more or less emphasis on things like ranged attacks, melee, survivability, etc.
On the Demon's side you have two Henriettas, Evil Ash, and the Puppeteer from Ash vs. Evil Dead. Demons have build mechanics emphasizing things like minion summoning, scare traps, poison damage, and how much you scare your enemies.
In all it's not what I was hoping for, but it is a load of fun- which is probably how most people think of Ash.
