I think I figured this part out. There were a few options scattered through the user registration area that would have affected this. Emails are now off by default, but push notifications and alerts remain on by default. Email verification would be unaffected when you sort out the mail server issue.Hmm, it won't let me disable those fields by default, they stay defaulted to checked on. I'll put a feeler out on the XF forums and see if there's a way to switch that up without breaking things![]()

I would've been incredibly irritated to find my inbox full of that. I might be in the minority on that opinion, though.
