Lol fair enough. Somer is not that food motivated - we often fill her bowl with new food and she just looks at us and walks away until she more feels like eating.
I should have specified, human food motivated. When he was a puppy he didn’t care, but I think having children around who drop food on the floor ruined him

Yeah, I have a spice rack by the stove for the most commonly used stuff (garlic, onion, white pepper, cayenne pepper, chili powder, red pepper flakes, etc). My pantry has another rack for stuff that's used less frequently, so it doesn't get exposed to light all the time. There's a lot of baking stuff in there like cinnamon.

I wish I had a shallow drawer like that for spices, that'd be really convenient.

Once you try well seasoned food (that isn't just seasoned with salt), you don't wanna go back.

I love me black pepper. I knew a girl who liked to pile on the black pepper and I ended up doing the same and life was never the same. Fresh BP has a nice aroma and you can use it to give a dish some punch without making it overtly spicy or ruining the flavor of the dish (like hot sauce can do).

Edit: Thyme is really good too.
