There are some gems for names in that list.

I was first looking for any tits to vote for. The bar-tailed godwit kind of spoke to me early on too. Then towards the end we got the banger of morepork.

Then lastly we got the kākāpō.

I liked the dabchick.

In that order.
  1. Takahē was the closest one I could find that looked like a dinosaur.
  2. Pūkeko just had rizz.
  3. Everyone loves a good shag.
  4. Miro miro on the wall, who's the fairest tit of all?
  5. Antipodean albatross for sale!

If anyone has any questions about any of these birds let me know, I'm an expert
what's your favorite bird?
what bird has the dumbest name?

Me and my wife have this fun game we play when we go to nathist museums where we slap on British accents and try to come up with the dumbest names for birds possible. We're often outdone by their actual names

I like the Tui. It's not the cutest or the most anything, but they do sound very pleasant and I've been very fortunate to frequently be near them. Their birdsong to wake too was very nice.

But the Pukunui will likely get my first vote in this.

I love to disparage things but none of these birds have dumb names. But let's go Tomtit because it has a silly word in it - Tom.
