Suggestion Community-editable OP post thread

I have an idea for a topic that I'd like to get input from all members of the community. Is there a way to make a forum/thread with the OP post being editable by all members, and a way for it to track changes, like a Wiki?

That's the thing... We gotta give people the option to stress test those kind of features. It's all part of the plan. If it breaks something, we break something else to fix it. If that breaks? We blame it on someone and move on.

You can either try it out in the designated forum and we can trash the thread, or we can set up a public testing forum for it. Right now Crystal has it set up in the private testing forum at the bottom by the staff forum, but, I don't know who all has access to that off of the top of my head.

I just edited the mod group's permissions for the testing forum manually. Maybe that'll work.

Good. I think we may not have set thorough permissions up when making the testing forum, because it looked like there were none and only the admins were given manual permissions. It was basically configured like a wolf forum.

It is, it just doesn't appear to be inheriting any of the permissions for the groups like the others, probably because of the private node function overriding the group permissions. It's no different than if I were to exclude you from a wolf forum. Even though your account is the very first admin one, it would still lock you out of it.

It's as good as it needs to be, no need for extra work. Admins have manual permissions set. Mods now have group permissions set. We don't have any other staff groups that would need access. If the members need to test it, Kelly has that thread in the chat forum they can play with.
