Say the Lions score another TD here. Do you go for two to try go up two scores or kick the extra point forcing the Chiefs to go for two if they also score?
Yes, but they are the Lions, so that wasn't going to happen. Lol

I don't understand that sequence. Gibbs runs for 20 after a bad false start. Pull him. Montgomery comes in. 3 runs for 8 yards... why not give it to the kid getting positive yards? Then a terrible pass on 4th. I don't understand coaches sometimes.

i probably should have posted in this sooner but most of those posts would have been "oh man the Lions are gonna f this up they are so shit"

pleasantly flabbergasted they actually won regardless of the reasons

Tough game for the Chiefs WR. I'm not as down on Kadarius as others, even though he single-handedly lost the game twice. At least he was getting open. The more egregious WR was Skyy Moore, who was probably on the field more than any other WR, and was rarely open and had almost as many drops as Toney. I don't think that guy was ever good. I think the Chiefs would benefit from not subbing guys in and out every play. Give Rashee Rice a better shot, since he dominated in the preseason and even had a TD last night. I think Justyn Ross could be great for us too, but he's not going to get enough snaps. Either of these guys should take at least 10-15 snaps away from Skyy Moore.

Also, the offensive play calling was not very good. For years, the Chiefs have insisted on weird sweep plays or having Blake Bell take the snap on 3rd/4th and short, and it almost never works unless you have Tyreek Hill. If you can't run the ball forward for 1 yard with Pacheco, then we have a big problem. Losing yards on these sweeps cost us multiple drives.

That said, I was pretty happy with how the defence played. Considering Chris Jones was out and they faced a pretty good offensive line, holding the Lions to 14 points (once you take out the pick-6) is very respectable.
