Yeah, I can imagine that's pretty awful to deal with on a routine basis.

It gets old because nothing is ever done about it. Crime has increased exponentially since the riots, while officer retention and recruitment has been on a steady decline, and violent offenders get to plead down charges to reduce overpopulation in the system.

Baltimore fucking sucks, yo.

It really does. There aren’t any redeeming qualities about this city anymore, and there haven’t been for a long time.

Oh wow, that has to be really stressful. I never want to live too close to a big city ever again. I live in the country and feel really safe.

The stressful part is for those that aren’t involved in the street life… the others know their time is coming, the innocent folks spend their lives in anticipation awaiting being caught in the crossfire. Several months ago, there was an elderly woman in bed reading a book that was struck by a round that entered from the front of her house.

One of my favorite Youtubers named Dan Bell lives in Baltimore. I never want to visit the city. I live about 45 minutes away from St. Louis and any time I go there for events I get paranoid, lol.

Chances are, if he’s a popular YouTuber, he lives in one of the gentrified parts of town, and not in the actual shitty parts. The unfortunate thing is those little insulated bubbles serve as giant flashing neon lights to the criminals, drawing them to potential easy targets.

I live in STL. There are just places I don't go to. Shame Stacked is in an area that is less desirable to go to.

I actively avoid going into certain neighborhoods here, and there’s nothing wrong with it. Taking your business and leisure time elsewhere sends a very clear message to local government… Fix shit, or we’ll go elsewhere.

Not really a fan of those gentrified areas either. They tear down all the old classic buildings that could be saved in order to build up new complexes that look the same as everything else.

It also doesn't help correct underlying problem with wealth inequality. All you do is force people below the poverty line out because rent has become too expensive. Like, sure, you "cleaned the place up" but you didn't fix shit.

That’s the thing… you got developers from larger cities like New York and Chicago coming here and dumping chump change on these houses, flipping them with immigrant workers on the cheap with builder’s grade materials, and then selling them to hipsters that wanna feel “urban”… it’s fucking wild. Then, these dipshits with young money come in and pay $500k for a 2 br/1.5 ba row home on a renovated block sandwiched in between dope holes and rows of boarded up houses under the delusion that they’ll be able to flip their $500k “starter” house for a minimum of a $150k-$250k additional profit in several years… It just doesn’t work out that way for them. They get chased out, scrappers and fiends come in and strip out those new copper lines, the city throws boards up, and the cycle repeats itself. The only ones making any money is the city and investors, neither of which is investing into the community they exploit. I’ve seen it happen here since I was a kid. The house I grew up in is about to be leveled along with the rest of the block, and it’s gonna be replaced with matchbook houses by next year. Within a decade that block will be back at square one.

An update of sorts…

Police have provided a short video from social media displaying a young male pulling a modified rifle from a backpack. Public record dispatch data was also uncovered revealing audio from a dispatch call over an hour prior to the shooting stating that there was a crowd of teenagers involved in a dispute and several were armed with melee weapons and firearms.

Otherwise, BPD has been radio silent on the case… using the press to promote the recently increased reward offered by the BPD and FBI of $28,000.

Until today…

This isn’t the first time I’ve gotten this particular notification from Citizen. It’s a tactic often employed when police are preparing for an operation.

Expanded view…

As witnessed in other major cities, criminal organizations run counterintelligence against local, state, and federal agencies. This type of measure is simply a roadblock.

Yikes. Yeah, no desire to ever visit Baltimore. It's like how I never want to set foot in Alabama.

I once worked with a woman from there. After a few years she moved back and had a baby at 41. I don't understand people.

I promise that the only thing you’ll miss is the steamed crabs, crab cakes, and fried chicken, all of which can be sent to you anywhere in the continental US and prepared the same as you’d get here… so the only thing you’d really be missing is AMBIENCE of the LUXURY DINING EXPERIENCE of downtown Baltimore…

There’s nothing quite like the smell of diesel fuel, body odor, human feces, and crack cocaine to really get your appetite going.

You had me at human feces! Getting on the plane now!

I do want some blue crab though and can't find it up here anywhere.

Order from Jimmy’s Famous, they ship all over. I’ve had a friend in Nevada order some and they arrived in perfect condition, from here to MA shouldn’t be an issue.

oh, sweet I will look into this.

I made it easy. You should also buy Crystal Hot Sauce or McIllhenny Hot Sauce if you’re a fan of hot sauce, both pair perfectly with the crab cakes. Traditionally here, they’re served with either hot sauce or hot mustard. Locals don’t don’t use tartar sauce for them, it’s like sacrilegious or blasphemous or something really bad sounding.
