Resolved Badge notifications

I followed the directions @Mark gave me to add GWF to my Home Screen. Rather than get push notifications as banners, I wanted to just get the badges. Badges don’t show up. Is this because it’s a webpage saved to the Home Screen or is it something you can fix, @Crystal

When I switched it on for myself, the notifications didn’t come on immediately… it was almost as if it had to refresh first, but… it’s iOS, so I have no clue what it’s actually doing.

Pretty much, I never bothered trying to figure out iOS beyond basic operations. They can keep their secrets, I just wanna look at memes and tell my friends to fuck off.

You could be right, and I’m just trying to do my part.

@shortkut I’ll leave this thread be to give it some time to sort itself out, let us know if it’s still acting fucky after a while. If it is, we’ll see if there’s anything else we can do or if it’s something on iOS that we can’t resolve.

Edit - I’ll also add that I notice that the notifications/badges inconsistently stop appearing depending on what you’re doing on your phone.

I tried restarting my phone to see if that would help but I have yet to see a single badge count for this “app”

There is also an area under account preferences that allows you to enable/disable push notifications.

That’s wild… I’m on an 11 pro max and it works. Temperamental, but, it works.

I think I fixed it. I repeated the process using safari to log in before I saved it to my Home Screen rather than chrome. Now I just need someone to tag me or something so I can see if it works

Good times. I’m gonna have to get with you for a step by step tutorial so we can incorporate it into our FAQ down the line… hopefully eliminate other people from encountering this problem.

I think the issue was I didn’t use safari at first. I’ll see if I can take some screen shots for a step by step guide
