$600 Million And A Decade Later, Where Is Star Citizen?

Over a decade of development hell, $600 million in funds, and ever-rising expectations, Star Citizen seriously needs a release date now.

I see stories about this crop up every couple of months. I mean I would hope the people playing the Alpha or Beta or whatever phase it's currently in are enjoying themselves, and getting their money's worth, but... lots of alarming things about the game. It's definitely never getting properly finished with all that feature creep, and there's no world in which digital starships should be costing triple, quadruple or quintuple digit sums of cash.

Why even bother with that game when Elite Dangerous, No Man's Sky, EVE Online, and Outer Wilds exists?

The only experience I have with it is they came out of nowhere doing a fan event 4 years ago and contacted my company to plan and execute it, so we got to see a lot of cool space ship props and stuff before they set up the show in our shop. They paid a butt load of money to get it done and when everyone kept asking what Star Citizen is, their creative people kept calling it more than a game and went into how it was it's own ecosystem and other convoluted things. I just kept saying its a game that will never release and is probably being used for money laundering.
