• This News Doesn't Suck!

Everyone stop what you're doing! It's happening! GW's own Alu is having a baby!! Come and congratulate him here: Need some help identifying this picture.

We're so happy for you, Alu!

Pre-mature (lol) sign-ups

I'll have a window in May between semesters, so I'm planning on running my next game then. Right now I'm thinking Monday, May 12, but that is tentative depending on if there are any other wolf games going on around that time. I could shift it several days later if I need to.

Also, I haven't made up my mind yet if it's going to be another serious game with the rules refined and improved, or if I end up doing that meme idea I had before where it's a storyline sequel to the first game, where everyone is an acolyte except for a small resistance of villagers with strong villager roles. Depends on how everyone else feels and what y'all would rather do. I'm sure it will be fun either way! :)

For now, let's gauge the interest and see who wants to be notified when the game is about to start.

Players signed up so far:

Alu
Ben
Benzine
canadaduck
Dimmerwit
Fools Requiem
Jon
Kat
Quagmire

May doesn't exist.

I am patient zero.

I will spread my disease to whomever kills me and they will in turn infect everyone they interact with and so on and so forth. Then everyone will die because no one thought to quarantine.
Oooh, that gives me an idea for some kind of plague-spreading SK. I'll work on developing that one a little more.

In modded Amogus, there's a solo role called the Plaguebearer. They infect players and any players they interact with are then infected. When the entire living population is infected, the Plaguebearer becomes "Pestilence." As Pestilence, they cannot be killed outside of being voted out. Anyone who attempts to kill them dies. They can also kill on their own as well. The player is only able to kill when Pesty. If they're still PB, they're completely valunerable to all attacks. They're basically a crew mate that can infect players. All of the same weaknesses as a regular crew member apply.

No one knows they're infected.

Requiem of a Fool. Spreads the Madness through the town. An infected person will not be aware they are sick. The person they quote the most during the day phase also becomes infected, unless that person is the Requiem of a Fool. They will die at the end of the following day phase. If the infection is not passed on, the Requiem of a Fool may choose another target.

I dunno, something like that. Following day phase so you won't figure out who is sick until after someone else has already been infected and infected a third.

Could also be the person who quotes them the most that day phase. Or a rotating thing or random on how it works (one day could be most quoted person, one could be most quotes of them, one could be person who posts closest to them most frequently). Make it hard to figure out which it could be.

Yeah, some kind of healing role or item could act as a cure. I like the idea of quoting somebody ends up spreading it. It could be some interaction like that, such as trading an item to somebody or using their power on someone (like a protection or seer check). Of course I can't make it TOO easy to spread or 100% of the players would be dead by day two. Lol. Maybe it takes a full day phase for the next person in the chain to become infected, and one newly infected person by the plague host during the night phase. Maybe I die roll for each potentially infected person so it doesn't have a 100% transmission rate.

That's why I suggested a "most quoted" so it'll limit it to one person. Maybe it could be a random generator to select from a list of people who meet some condition.

Another idea I've been thinking about is tarot cards. Could be a seer role (tarot card reader), but I like the idea of another seer item. Maybe a quest drop. It could have a secondary use as well by allowing a someone to pre-roll before deciding to go on a quest (find out you're going to die and then say nope you change your mind about going).

I'm thinking that I might save my wacky idea for a game (small townie resistance against the Acolytes that took over last game) for a later time once this version of the game is more refined and practiced and we start feeling like doing something a little different with it, so it's going to be a normal Acolyte game this time.

Also, I just got an idea for who the new big badguy in the story is going to be :link

So I discovered that ChatGPT is free and actually does a pretty decent job of AI images, so now I can do stuff like this.

Of course, I'll have to make a more updated one before starting the next game, since I am adding new quest areas.
@BenGPT is also free

Indeed he is, Lord Kurthost. Though I feel bad running to him for every little thing.
Bitches love my large language model.

I don't mind helping with creative stuff, but also encourage people to try and do it themselves.
